INTRODUCTION
e-Excise is an enhanced system to the previous EES that has been developed to process application for the clearance of passenger vehicles or motorcycles from assembly plants and electronic fund transfer for the payment of excise duties.
This system provides a direct link between manufactures, RHB Bank and Custom Information System.
The system comprises two main processes namely:
- Vehicle Release Process.
- Excise Duty Payment Process.

FEATURES OF e-EXCISE
- System is capable of receiving information and transmitting response with codes denoting status of “approval” or “rejection”;
- All processes are automated;
- System is able to generate Customs reference number and receipt number automatically;
- System is able to generate monitoring reports as required.
ADVANTAGES OF e-EXCISE
- Direct communication between manufactures, RHB Bank and Custom Information System without via additional third party;
- Security of information is assured;
- Payment of Excise duty is made easier, faster and safer through EFT;
- Registration of vehicles at RTD is made easier and faster;
- Lower development and transaction cost;
- Immediate transmission of response to manufacturers/dealers;
- Physical Excise No. 7 form is not required.
e-EXCISE IMPLEMENTATION

CIRI-CIRI SISTEM e-EKSAIS
- Sistem berupaya menerima maklumat dan memberi respon secara elektronik, samada kelulusan atau penolakkan dengan kod-kod yang ditetapkan;
- Sistem menjalankan pemprosesan kelulusan pelepasan kenderaan dan pembayaran duti eksais secara automatik. Sistem dapat menjana nombor rujukan Kastam dan nombor resit bayaran duti eksais secara automatik;
- Sistem boleh mengeluarkan laporan-laporan pemantauan yang diperlukan.
KEISTIMEWAAN e-EKSAIS
- Jalinan hubungan antara sistem pengilang dengan sistem RHB Bank dan sistem Kastam tidak melalui pihak ketiga;
- Pembayaran duti eksais dilakukan dengan menggunakan kaedah EFT yang lebih mudah, pantas dan selamat;
- Pendaftaran kenderaan di Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan menjadi lebih cepat dan mudah;
- Kos penyediaan dan penggunaan sistem murah dan menjimatkan;
- Borang Eksais No. 7 tidak diperlukan.
