This policy aims to initiate a culture and practice of e-participation in order to enhance transparency and public participation in improving the quality of services of the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM).

JKDM consistently recognizes public involvement as it enables the Department to explore broader perspectives, sources of information, and potential solutions to improve decisions and services. It also provides a foundation for productive relationships, better dialogue and discussions, and orderly governance.

The objective of this participation is to involve the public in development policies and decision-making processes through the use of information and communication technology. Among the communication channels used are Portal Polls, Public Participation, Portal Feedback (feedback/inquiries/complaints/suggestions), Customer Satisfaction Surveys, and JKDM’s social media platforms, namely Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

JKDM warmly welcomes participation, subject to compliance with the established terms and conditions of participation as follows:

Any statements touching on sensitivities related to race, religion, or politics are strictly prohibited.

It is prohibited to demean, launch personal attacks, or make statements that may offend other participants.

Exercise control over your statements; avoid using abusive, offensive, or regionalist language.

Casual chatting or posting statements that deviate from the main topic is discouraged.

Topics and links to pornographic websites are strictly prohibited.

Ensure that your statements/topics do not violate COPYRIGHT LAW, TRADEMARK, PATENT, or other related regulations.

It is strictly prohibited to use the Public Participation space to conduct any form of promotion, pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick schemes, internet money schemes, chain letters, or junk e-mails, whether for commercial purposes or otherwise.

Uploading files containing computer viruses such as “Trojan Horses,” “worms,” “time bombs,” “cancel bots,” or any software or programs that may damage the operation of another user’s computer is not permitted.

The administrators of the e-Participation platform do not, under any circumstances, endorse, support, represent, or guarantee the truth, accuracy, or reliability of any statement/topic made in this e-Participation space. Individuals should understand that any risk related to the reliability of materials in this space is borne by the individual themselves.

The administrators of the e-Participation platform reserve the right to amend or delete any statement/topic at any time without prior notice to the author of the statement/topic.
