How To Apply For EIS

The manufacturer has to apply a day prior to exportation or before 3.30 p.m. on a normal working day and 12.15 p.m. on a half working day if it involves overtime. Application for overtime work for Sundays and public holidays has to be forwarded the day before.

Application has to be completed with details on the date, time, type of trading, vehicle / container, destination / via port and the vessel’s name.

When application is forwarded, the manufacturer has to ascertain that the goods are ready at their premise for inspection.

An approval letter is issued on the same day the application is received.

Document inspection by Inland Customs Station

1.      EIS application approval

2.      Customs 2 form register

1.      Goods inspection at the premise

2.      Endorse inspection

3.      Container sealed

1.      Attach 6 copies of Customs 2 in a sealed envelope

2.      Hand to Agent / Driver

1.      Port Customs Station received Customs 2 in sealed envelope
