e-Excise System

e-EXCISE SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION

e-Excise is an enhanced system to the previous EES that has been developed to process application for the clearance of passenger vehicles or motorcycles from assembly plants and electronic fund transfer for the payment of excise duties.

 

This system provides a direct link between manufactures, RHB Bank and Custom Information System.

 

The system comprises two main processes namely:

  1. Vehicle Release Process.
  2. Excise Duty Payment Process.

FEATURES OF e-EXCISE

 

  • System is capable of receiving information and transmitting response with codes denoting status of “approval” or “rejection”;
  • All processes are automated;
  • System is able to generate Customs reference number and receipt number automatically;
  • System is able to generate monitoring reports as required.

ADVANTAGES OF e-EXCISE

  • Direct communication between manufactures, RHB Bank and Custom Information System without via additional third party;
  • Security of information is assured;
  • Payment of Excise duty is made easier, faster and safer through EFT;
  • Registration of vehicles at RTD is made easier and faster;
  • Lower development and transaction cost;
  • Immediate transmission of response to manufacturers/dealers;
  • Physical Excise No. 7 form is not required.

e-EXCISE IMPLEMENTATION

  • The system was developed in early 2001. The manufacturers that has been used this system are :

Windfall Profit Levy(Crude Palm Oil And Crude Palm Kernel Oil) Order 2008

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Windfall Profit  Levy Act 1998 (Act 592), the Minister makes the following order:

Citation and commencement
  • This order may be cited as teh Windfall Profit Levy (Crude Palm Oil and Crude Palm Kernel Oil) Order 2008
  • This Order comes into operation on 1 July 2008.

Excise Licence

Exice License Application

Excise duty is levied on certain goods manufactured in Malaysia for domestic use. The list of these goods is printed in the Government Gazette and is called Excise Duty Oder 1991 (P.U.(A)381/91). Anyone who manufactures in Malaysia any goods that is stated in the Excise Duty Order 1991 is required to apply for a license from the State Director of Customs where his / her / their factory is located or premise is situated using application form JKED No.1.
